Upon entering the scene of any fire, the situation must be assessed. Our main concern.....SAFETY!!

Contrary to what it looks like, the water is being sprayed on the tank that remains intact to keep it cool while foam gets prepared.

"behind the scenes" Foam needs to be prepared, trucks need to keep full, extra support has to be called in. There's much more to firefighting than just spraying water.

Even after putting on hundreds of gallons of water and foam, the wind comes up and changes our approach.

The foam has no effect as it runs over the edge. The tank has to be drained in order to let the foam smother the fire.

Once the level of the tank gets lowered, the foam is able to stay in the tank and extinguish the fire.

It takes alot of people, experience, and leadership to contain any fire. We have among the best!
