Tioga Medical
Center receives Diabetes Care Award
Tioga Medical Center is one of seven clinics to receive
the North Dakota Diabetes Care Clinic Achievement Award.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota, in cooperation
with the North Dakota Department of Health Diabetes Prevention and
Control Program, sponsors the annual awards given each spring.
The award recognizes clinics that have demonstrated
excellence in managing the care of diabetes patients and is based on
American Diabetes Association guidelines.
To receive the award, a clinic must have at least 10
patients with diabetes and more than one practitioner and have met all
five achievement goals in 2007. The North Dakota Diabetes Care Provider
report has tracked providers and patient services for more than seven
years.
