About Amber
Amber Nelson was born and raised in Hazen, North Dakota. She is a Northwest Technical College, Fergus Falls Community College, Minnesota State College-Moorhead, and University of North Dakota Alumni. Her most recent degree is a Master of Science, Family Nurse Practitioner. Amber has worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse and a Registered Nurse for 23 years prior to her FNP. She has nursing experience in neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedic surgery, intensive care, flight nursing, long-term care, and emergency care.
Amber is also a volunteer RN for the Tioga Ambulance. She started work for Tioga Medical Center in 2009 as a floor nurse. In 2011, she became Director of Nursing for the Hospital and Long-Term Care. She is currently certified in ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ATLS.

Amber enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, swimming, gardening, and being outdoors.
